I'll start.....And I haven't even bought yet..
I'm in the planning/shopping stage, and I called Shawn first. (Well, maybe second, as I read almost all of the RV section of this board first... ) It was actually the information gained from this section that caused me to contact him, as the postings were all very positive about him, and even more importantly, he is a duner himself. As I am a "rookie", especially when it comes to RVing, I'd much rather deal with someone who understands the what my intended primary use of the unit is.
I am not one to normally seek out a salesman, so it was actually quite difficult to make that first contact. Visions of daily emails, phone calls in the middle of dinner..all trying to sell me something I'm not exactly ready to buy yet, were flashing before my eyes as I contacted him. I was more than pleasantly surprised. Not only have I never received one unsolicited sales call/email, everything I'd read about him has so far turned out to be an understatement.
Shawn promply answered my emails/phone calls. Shawn gave me several different prices which were quite good, especially since there was no back and forth "b.s." where the dealer and salesman try to retire off of selling you a product. And perhaps, even more importantly, Shawn was very willing to put up with all of my stupid "rookie" type questions. He also shared some of his personal knowledge, and made suggestions/observations that will enhance my eventual purchase and enjoyment of my toy hauler. And, these conversations happened several times, over several days, so it wasn't just because it was a slow day at the office that he took this time with me. And the kicker is that Shawn knew up front that I was only "shopping/planning", and I got what I feel is top drawer service from someone who may never get one dime from my purchase.
The only things that would make me *not* purchase from Shawn are things that are totally, 100% completely out of his control: the horrible service record that I have observed of his employer, and of the trailer manufacturer itself. And as further testament to Shawn's dedication to his customer, he even tries to get that part of the problem resolved. He says he is a "miracle worker", and sometimes it probably takes that from what I've read here..
Shawn probably can't really walk on water.. , but you'd be doing yourself a huge favor by talking to him first. |

Hustler Dec 19th 2005 ..........Another Thanks To Headinjury, New FSW3200 |
| |
I picked up my new FSW3200 on saturday that was ordered at the RV show and there were no disappointments, even the wife was happy. A few details, FSW3200 billet edition with dual queen electric beds, bay windows and swivel rockers, Kicker stereo system that rocks. There are no rattles with the sub and everything just sounds clean, the best option so far. And yes I know I will get them up asap. We spend alot time in our trailer at the river and this layout will be much more comfortable for us than any other pull styler trailer. Thanks for the hookup Shawn.

Shawn took care of my father in law and my brother. When it came time to buy my own trailer, he was the first guy I called. Although I did not buy a WW, it wasn't because of him nor his price. He gave me a great price on a 23' SuperLite but in the end, it came down to my wife not liking the floor plan. When I'm ready to step up to a 5er, I'll be calling Shawn.(Hopefully very soon.)

When the toy hauler I ordered had a problem when it was delivered, Shawn went to bat for me and helped to get the issue resolved. The amazing part of this story is that I hadn't even ordered the coach from him. You can bet on my next purchase, I'll be giving Headinjury a call. Thanks again Shawn.

Just want to say that Shawn was great to deal with. He got us what we wanted out of stock, and put the whole deal together through delivery in about 4 days (right in the middle of the SSSS). We were really in a pinch since we had just sold our previous hauler. There was no BS, no hard sell, no games (like with other salesman). If you want the Cadillac of toy haulers, Headinjury is the only guy to deal with. |

Well.... let me be the 1st to sign your guest book!!
Shawn you have been one of the coolest guys to work with! You walked me through each and every feature that you saw fit me. We custom built my WW LE3905 to the Tee!! I couldn't love my trailer more than anyone else!! We use it ALL year long!! It spends the entire Summer up in Lake Havasu AZ, where temps reach over 120, and my trailer has YET to fail me!! Then in Glamis, its nice and warm and toasty!!
Thanks for the great deal, and for my 2nd home!!

Man do we have some battle stories!!! But when it all comes down to it... it ended up with Shawn (Head Injury) really stepping up and hitting a home run!!!
When Giant RV messed up our delivery, Shawn took charge!! He came to our home, picked up our truck... and personally delivered it to our house in Riverside!! Man oh man... what a guy!!!
Thanks again for stepping up Shawn... May the GD.COM crew keep you in business forever!!!

Well- I have to say that Shawn is the go to guy for Weekend Warriors. We shopped for six months trying to decide what trailer to buy, finding one that the car fit into and the layout we could agree on all within the price range set. I am proud to say that we are anxiously awaiting the arrival of our 2005 3305 Weekend Warrior and we have Shawn to blame for that-ha ha ha. We went to other RV dealers while researching trailers and we asked many questions and didn't always get honest answers. Shawn didn't hesitate, he was honest, he was forward and he spent many hours with us last weekend trying to get just the right trailer for us. A few things impressed us about Shawn, how honest he was (when others were not), how reassuring he was that if there were any problems that he would take care of it to the best of his ability and his knowledge, not only of WW but other mfgs as well. After reading the many posts on this board about how Shawn always helps to get the job done whether you bought from him or not is impressive and is what drove us down to Murrieta to see the famous "head injury."
Thanks Shawn...... I will see you in a month or so when we come to pick up our new Weekend Warrior.

Hi Shawn, My wife and myself recently bought a 5 th wheel from you and would like to take this time to thank you again. Your knowledge about warrior products made the difference between with us buying a Warrior or the Gear box. We are very happy with our decision. We have been out to Glamis twice this month and everything went well no problems to talk about, the rig works great. Thanks again. Bruce Thompson

Hey Shawn, just wanted to drop a note and say thanks man, so stoked on the new rig, took it out first time last weekend. Towing was alittle rough (swaying) loaded differently on the way home and much better, but still more sway than I like. Bought a sway control and airbags yesterday, so I'll be a busy guy this weekend. Anyway, the whole family is stoked on the extra room. Thanks again Shawn. Chris

It's always cool to deal with a sales consultant who truly enjoys the product he sells. When picking out our families FS2600, Shawn gave us the complete run down on all the standard gear the trailer had and optional gear that we could get. Our coach has the all white smooth sides W/o graphics, the optional tiki interior which makes you feel your already on vacation even parked in the driveway. We followed Shawn from the Corona Giant RV to the Murrieta store and it was worth the extra 60 miles round trip. His knowledge, service, and reputation will go far with anyone who deals with him. Thanks for all the effort.

Went and saw HI and he hooked it up!!! Could not be happier. Got an fs3000 with 2 36 gal pump station, bay windows and 3 benches. Fiber sides, stereo system, outside bbq and lots of extras. He gave a great price and the service was incredible. Anybody looking for a new trailer should go see him, don't dick around, he will take care of you and you will be happy. Anybody looking for a used trailer should come see me, need to get rid of the old one....

After reading numerous posts about dealings with with headinjury, I decided to go see him for a new Weekend Warrior. I scored a deal on a 2005 FS2300 or was it a 2009 I called a couple other dealers to see if they could beat his price and they basically told me to go away! (Sorry Headinjury always have to call around).
Shawn, thanks for your professionalism and courtesy.

We picked up our new 2005 Weekend Warrior FS3000 Wednesday. I have to say, we went to EVERY dealer from Orange County to L.A. to Riverside and looked at EVERY Model trailer thats on the market. Shawn (Headinjury) and Giant RV Corona gave us the BEST deal and absolutly the BEST customer service around. I worked them both like a Vegas Hooker and we all walked away with a smile On top of that Shawn hooked us up with Daves Muffler and hitch just down the street for a new hitch. Another GREAT deal!!!......I highley recomend anyone interested in a new WW and in need of a hitch to go and see Shawn at Giant RV and check out his web site www.glamiswarrior.com
Here is a picture of our first trip out to the Dez.....
Thank you Shawn for the GREAT Deal!!!!!

I would have to agree with what every one says about Shawn. I have been in the market for about 3 weeks and have looked at EVERY type toy hauler there is around and have found the best cost and and after everything I have seen I have made my desision on WW. From that point I emailed Shawn and he called me right away and is taking every step to help me out and is even giving me the best cost in the industry (and believe me, I have talked to A LOT of sales rep's from every different manufacture). Shawn is the man!!! And from my experience, the WW is the biggest bang for your buck especially when you deal with Shawn.

HeadInjury has been a slapptacious member of the GD.com family, and has proven his customer service skills and care for the folks here at GD.com. His relations with the folks will no doubt benefit him for a long time to come. As a matter of fact, Slap's first name outta his mouth when somebody asks about buyin a trailer is, "HEADINJURY IS YOUR MAN, HE'S ON THE BOARD, CONTACT HIM |

This sales technique is not limited to WW sales people. It seems to be the norm across the board for toy houses, trailers, MH, trucks, auto's. Maybe I am just getting to old, but somehow the concept of walking onto a lot and begging a salesperson to sell you something just won't happen with me.
I know if I was a competitor dealer of WW, I would steal Head Injury away to my place of business. He seems to be one of the few that can actually grasp the concept of customer service.

July 21st Dealer Horror Story |

Posts: 2 Posted: 21 Jul 2003 18:55 Post subject: Dealer Horror Story
Check this out! Just asked a bunch of dealers for bids for a WW FS 3000. Shawn won and and we worked from there. No problems, no B.S. (Well, there was the problem with the contract listing the price for something like 480k, but that was a typo!) Deal done. Hour and a half drive to pick it up-no brainer.
Here's the crazy part. I had spent some time at a local dealer and looked at his inventory. I did call him to ask for a bid, and he wanted me to bring him the other bids, but wouldn't bid himself. He had my number, he could have called me. Shawn did. Many times. The local dealer finally called me back tonight to discuss an offer or whatever. I let him know that I already had ordered a trailer and that it was a done deal. Apparently, he felt I owed him a purchase-
HE WENT NUTS on me. Started saying "How could you do that?! Why didn't you give me a chance to bid?!" (Uhhhh, I gave him a chance) and then he basically spewed all over me. Glad there was telephone between us, or I'd have drowned. He was seriously torqued. Also glad I had my wife with me at the dealership, who remembers everything. Nobody ever accused her of having a faulty memory! At any rate-
Then I called the dealer to talk to the owner, and the same guy answered the phone and said he was the owner, and why did I hang up on him before? I said it wasn't over (but I'm laughing too hard now to care). He called me again after that, and I told him never to call my house again to harass me. Can you believe that?
Well, I need to post this, and then go pop a cold one. This is the most obnoxious sales related experience that I have ever had. If you want a WW, go to Shawn, and work with him. Get legitimate bids from others also. Then you'll know who the real men are. Don't opt for dealerships that want to nickel and dime someone else's bid. I could say more, but it probably wouldn't make sense.

Well, thanks to everyones input, I ordered my FK2100 from Shawn today...without the generator. I think I can handle making the friends lug the generator in and out and I think I'll be outside the Warrior enough to be able turn it on while I'm out there... you're in Glamis, time isn't exactly rushed out there is it? Besides, for half the price and twice the peace of mind, it only makes sense.
Which brings me to my next point...
SHAWN IS THE MAN!!!. If you don't know this, take your business to him and you will see. If any of your friends need a toy hauler, send em to Shawn for a Warrior. There is no reason not to. Seriously, I thought he was gonna give me a deal, but ! You can easily get a near bare bones Warrior from Shawn for ALMOST... and I mean almost the same price as anything else with the comparable little things ( awning, lights, tie downs, fold down bed, etc. ). A Carson 22ft with the same stuff I picked would easily cost 90% that of a FK2100. And that's a Carson. Besides, I don't see many manufacturers looking at our forum to take care of problems. Being in the "Customer Service" area myself, I also prefer to give my money to someone who actually gives a ****.
Anyway...many, many, many thumbs up top Shawn and Giant. Can't wait to actually GET the trailer next.

Doc hit it on the head.. Peeps I know in the market have little or no patience for sales maggots.. I myself have little patience for them as well and going around to all the different dealers is just a pain in the ass.
Those are the reasons I send peeps asking for advice to headjob I mean HeadInjury. Hell, I've only met him a couple of times as well, but what I do know is this..
If you want the trailer, he will get you in it. I just wish I knew ME boefore I got my trailer. I like it, but I could have saved a TON of money and time going north an hour.. Plus how many dealers you know you can send friends and family too and not worry about it?? Very few..
keep it up Shawn, you do good work and make me look good!

Sand king shawn will give you a good dealon the coachI guees it is a miracle when you get an actual price from a dealership that is a true sales price not a inflated price.
If you get a trailer out of stock you will not have to call Daryl the salesmanager every week even though I have the completion date.(I have no patience)
If you want a list of options check out the thread Shaawn wheres my trailer that I started.
You won't be disapointed on the price or anything for that matter. I did my deal with a total of 4 phone calls no butt time. Heck I have only met shawn in the dunes 1 or 2 times for atotal of 5 minutes.

Glad to see your buying from Shawn, the one thing that was aparent to my wife and I when purchasing our rig was that he wasnt trying to SELL us or try to get as much as he could, he simply negotiated our price without getting us involed in the price haggling with sales managers. I will tell you we paid several thousands less than our local WW dealer had quoted us plus shawns price included more options. I just cant say enough good things about our experience with GiantRV. |

I own a 96 WW 26 foot superlite trailer. In the past WW had some issues
with service, but they are seriously trying to fix any problems. I had a problem with my trailer that I contacted Headinjury about. ( I DIDNOT buy the trailer form him ) He called WW for me and they are going to fix my trailer, even though it is a 96. I have freinds who have bought a trailer from headinjury and he stands behind them 100%. If I ever buy
another trailer I will be calling Headinjury and I would recommend
everbody give him a shot when looking for a trailer.
THANK YOU WW and Shawn

I hadn't posted on this site before and was just lurking reading all of the great posts and felt I had to speak up for the silent majority.
I purchased a 2004 WW FK2100 from Shawn at Giant in December. The sale was painless and he really took care of all of our questions and came up with a fantastic price. (BTW - I live 1 mile from a WW dealer in San Diego County and I drove 100 miles to buy one from Shawn) During the walk thru with Shawn we discovered 2 problems. One with battery wiring and one with the door latch. Shawn had them fixed right there on the spot and made sure we were satisfied. What a class act.
Since delivery, not one problem with the trailer after 6 trips to the dez. We use everything on the trailer and it works like a champ. I really looked over the other manufacturers for toy haulers and thought that WW was the best thought out and a great value for the money.
Being in business for myself, I know how hard it is to give great customer service. Shawn exemplifies great service. I see on the boards how he tries to help out people that are having some difficulties. You're not going to get that kind of help very often from anyone so take advantage of it and quit whining. The majority of us who never post and keep quiet about things are very happy with this product. Its time we posted some of our positive experiences here.
Shawn - Good job bud. Keep on going!
WW - Great product, keep making them better.

Bambam, when Kelly and I were looking for trailers I looked at the Baja first and almost bought it. Then I went and looked at he Weekend Warrior trailer and fell in love. It had the most space and just over all the best trailer I had seen. Then I took Kelly to look at the Weekend Warrior and she was skeptical until I took her to see the Baja. The first thing she said to me was you cant take me to see the best first then expect me to like this.
You will spend more money on a WW then a Baja or even sand piper but it is definitely money well spent. Headinjury gave us a smoken deal, financing was no problem and giant rv has been great to work with |

I just bought my new 2004 Weekend Warrior SLC 3905 from Shawn at Giant RV. I cannot say enough about how great everything went from start to finish. Shawn delivered exactly what he promised to me and beat the price from Beaudry by $3000.00.
I love my bedroom slide and so does my wife. As for the Weekend Warrior it is flawless and tows great with my 1 ton Ford. This may sound like a commercial but it comes from the heart. I am truly grateful for the quality customer service that you and your staff provided and I will recommend your business to all friends and associates.
Sincerly,
Rich Hillman
